Jon Cedar, Founder and President

As one of the founders of Action Kleen, Mr. Cedar has over 35 years of experience within the building service industry. Since 1973, Mr. Cedar has grown Action Kleen to an operation that services over 5 million square feet and employs over 400 people. He has served on numerous executive committees of the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI). In addition, Mr. Cedar was a trustee member of the Miami Chamber of Commerce and has been involved with the Building Owners Management Association since 1985. Mr. Cedar graduated from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and earned an MBA from McGill University in Montreal.

 

Mark Cedar, Executive Vice President

Mr. Cedar manages the company's finances and day-to-day operations. He is responsible for expanding the company to New York and Palm Beach County. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Cedar was a Manager in the mergers and aquisitions division of JH Cohn LLP, where he provided merger and aquisition advisory services to middle market companies. He was also a real estate business consultant for PriceWaterHouseCoopers. Mr. Cedar earned a BS in accounting from Bentley College and a Masters in Taxation from Northeastern University. Mr. Cedar is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Restructuring Advisor (Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors) and Certified in Merger and Acquisitions (Alliance of Mergers and Acquisitions Association).

 

Lilia Esquivia – Vice President - Operations (Broward County)

Ms. Esquivia is responsible for handling a $3 million portion of the company’s cleaning portfolio and manages over 250 employees. Ms. Esquivia has been with Action Kleen since its beginnings and has been instrumental in growing the company. Ms. Esquivia has worked in every department of the company from special projects, to regional manager and most recently was promoted to Senior Vice President, Operations. Prior to joining the Action Kleen, she was the operations manager at Southeast Bank (currently Wachovia Bank).

 

Grace Rios – Vice President - Operations (Dade County)

Ms. Rios is responsible for handling a significant portion of the company’s cleaning portfolio and manages over 100 employees. Ms. Rios is also responsible for the human resource function of the company where she manages employee compliance issues and recruits new employees. Prior to joining Action Kleen, Ms. Rios worked for Florida Building Services responsible for human resources and operations.
